The packaging tower has the advantages of large production capacity, high separation efficiency, low pressure drop, small carrying capacity and high operational flexibility.

The packing material can make large gas and liquid contact surface, high transfer coefficient, large flux and low resistance. Therefore, it’s required that the packing layer has high porosity, large specific surface area, good surface wetability and close contact on structure to promote turbulence. Need corrosion resistance on the materials, and has a certain mechanical strength during manufacturing materials, so that the bottom of the filler layer not easy to pressure and fragmentation, deformation.

Commonly used tower packing can be divided into two categories: random packing and structured packing.

Plastic filler materials include: polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), reinforced polypropylene (RPP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). It has good corrosion resistance, large gap, large flux, low resistance, low energy consumption, low operating cost, light weight, easy handling, and can be reused. Particularly applicable to petroleum, chemical, chlor-alkali, gas, environmental protection and other industries in the low temperature (60-150 degrees) distillation, absorption and washing tower.
